The Wrecking Crew was a loose collective of session musicians based in Los Angeles whose services were employed for thousands of studio recordings in the 1960s and 1970s, including several hundred Top 40 hits. The musicians were not publicly recognized in their era, but were viewed with reverence by industry insiders. They are now considered one of the most successful and prolific session recording units in music history. (source Wikepedia)

A close second were the Misty Studio 'Wrecking Crew' who were not only the absolute musical bedrock on which many Misty Studio productions (and all of the great Micky Fudge recordings) were built but who all went on to achieve great things on the Worldwide stage in the years to come .Pictured above (with Micky Fudge during a gig at Bumbles) are Paul Beavis & Pat Davey (seated rear) and the irrepressible Stacey twins Jeremy & Paul (seated front floor) . Barely out of short trousers then but 25 years on their credentials read like a Who's Who of the music biz. We wuz truly privileged by their collective musical contributions and genius ....
